Our goal
Indigenous Resurgence
for Healthier Lands and Peoples.
We aim to support existing and emerging place-based, Indigenous-led resurgent practices for the health of the land, the water, the air, and all living beings.
The Mission
Address climate change,
biodiversity loss, and pollution through Indigenous-led resurgence.
Our recent podcasts
We want to develop globally influential research that demonstrates how place based Indigenous-led resurgent practices can be synergized across five “Islands” to create an “Archipelago” of transformative change.
The Why
The evidence is unequivocal: The health of all peoples and the planet requires urgent action.
We are already breaching the safe operating space for healthy human beings and all life on this planet; urgent action must be taken. We believe Indigenous resurgent practices allow such action to be taken in a good way, following Indigenous and natural laws.
The Meaning
Not long ago, Indigenous Peoples’ knowledges, ceremonies, and laws ensured the health of people, and healthy relationships with the lands, waters, and all living things around them.
Indigenous Peoples are not ignoring the planetary crisis. They are taking action by sustaining knowledge systems that embrace regenerative practices; leading efforts to reconcile global environmental change; stewarding the planet’s biodiversity; and engaging in activism that is stopping or delaying greenhouse gas pollution equivalent to at least 25% of annual US and Canadian emissions.
